Registration procedures for Lillian Osborne High School for the 2022/2023 school year will be shifting to a lottery process due to space capacity at the school.

Edmonton Public Schools reviews enrolment and programs at all schools in our Division each fall to monitor growth and see where schools are on our Division’s Growth Control Model. After carefully reviewing our enrolment this fall, Edmonton Public Schools has determined our school is at capacity and is implementing a lottery process at our school for new resident students enrolling at our school for the 2022–23 school year. This will not impact current students who attend our school.

The school will not accept new registrations from families in the attendance area if the student is not a resident of Edmonton Public Schools. A student is considered a resident of Edmonton Public Schools if they have at least one parent who lives in Edmonton who is not Roman Catholic.

Resident students who are not selected through the lottery process can attend the overflow designated school, Strathcona High School, a school with space in planned classes or remain at their current school, if applicable.

Siblings of current students attending our school

New resident students from the attendance area with a sibling who is returning to the school next year will get priority, but are not guaranteed to attend.

Lillian Osborne Enrollment Criteria

Edmonton Public Schools is introducing a lottery process for new resident students registering at our school for the 2022–23 school year. Any new resident student interested in enroling at Lillian Osborne must complete their pre-enrolment before April 14, 2022 at 4:00 pm:

  • A resident student of Edmonton Public Schools has at least one parent or guardian living in Edmonton who is not Roman Catholic.
  • New non-resident students cannot attend a lottery school.

This process will not impact students currently attending our school.

Please note, proof of address documentation is part of the enrollment application.

Check whether your current address is within Lillian Osborne's enrollment boundary by using EPSB's Find a School tool.

To find out more information about the lottery process and registration at Lillian Osborne for the 2022-23 school year, please visti the Lottery Page on the Edmonton Public Schools website.

Outside Enrollment Boundary

Due to the Growth Control Model, students outside the enrollment boundary are only able to pre-enrol at Lillian Osborne if they have a sibling who is returning next school year. A student may choose to attend any other school in the District, as long as:

  • The school has available space
  • The student meets any entrance criteria of that school
