Chinese (Mandarin) Bilingual Program
This course is designed for students who have previous experience with the language.
It allows them to explore many aspects of this unique language and aims to further
develop their language abilities and cultural competence through study and use of a
variety of language materials.
Course descriptions
Chinese Bilingual 10 Leadership
This course is taught in Chinese to give Chinese Bilingual 10 students opportunities to develop language competencies while contributing to their community. The Chinese Bilingual Leadership course is designed to provide students with principles of leadership and evaluate their personal leadership characteristics and qualities. In addition, students examine the role of volunteers in the community, perform as volunteers and evaluate the structure and function of nonprofit organizations in the Chinese Community.
Chinese Cooking
This course is taught in Chinese to give Chinese Bilingual 10 students opportunities to develop language competencies while exploring a fundamental part of Chinese culture. The Chinese cooking course is designed for students to develop and demonstrate an understanding of cooking focusing on preparation methods, role of ingredients and the proper use of equipment for traditional Chinese cuisine.
