Applied Graphic Arts

Applied Graphic Arts is changing names to Digital Media and Graphic Design. If you are a prospective student, head over to the new page to hear all about the Digital Media and Graphic Design course. Current Lillian Osborne students can continue to enrol in Applied Graphic Arts 35.

Applied Graphic Arts aims to provide students the opportunity to engage in visual communication by utilizing the elements of art, principles of design, contemporary design, historical design, visual problem solving, and creative-critical thinking. Ultimately, students will engage in creating solutions to graphic design problems. Additionally, the aim of this course is to equip students to further challenge notions of representation and assumptions surrounding various forms of imagery. The trajectory for Applied Graphic Arts is that students will become innovative, collaborative, and communicative in their expression of creative visual literacies.
